An appointment with Dr. Ford was like visiting a friend. No matter his schedule he always had time to listen and comfort. He was missed by his patients when he retired and now he will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
My deepest sympathies to his family.

Jane, I was sorry to read about Bruce. One of the world' gentlemen. I was fortunate to be at SPH during his residency. Nothing I can say will make a difference to your sorrow however it is always nice to hear good things. Jane.

Bruce Ford became our family Dr. in 1972, delivering our 2 daughters in 1974 & 1976. He was always known as "Docky Bruce" and was loved by us all. He was such a caring person aways willing to discuss your concerns on the phone or make a house call.
We send our condolences to Jane and the whole Ford family.
With love, Joy & Dave Simmons ( Jody & Erin)

Hi. Bruce Ford became our family physician in 1976 after the birth of our oldest son and saw us through our and our three children's health for years.
He was a wonderful doctor and had such a quiet, kind, and caring way about him. I (Jan) was a nurse and had a huge respect for him professionally.
We moved up to Gibsons 10 years ago and ran into him in Davis Bay while house hunting. It was lovely to see him again.
Our condolences to his family. You were fortunate to have him in your lives. No need to respond. Take care. Jan and Thor Olsen

Dr. Bruce Ford was an exceptional person and one I am proud to have known. He was a significant contributor to the Hospice training. He offered advice and support to me when I was the Hospice Coordinator. His non intrusive, quiet and compassionate manner was valued by us all.

My condolences to Jane and his family.

Dr. Ford was my physician from the late 1970's to his retirement in 1996. He was a wonderful doctor and made me feel welcome and never rushed our sessions. He always provided objective and thoughtful guidance. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

"We have fond memories of visiting Jane & Bruce in Cobourg, Ontario, with our young daughters running around, in the early years of Bruce's medical career.
Several years later, in 1979, we joined them in B.C. & resumed our relationship. David, Doug MacLean and Mel Tanemura, enjoyed playing golf at Capilano with
Bruce, who was an excellent golfer. Throughout the years several of our friends have told us how much they appreciated having Bruce as their physician. He was loved
by many & will be missed, as he touched the lives of so many people both near and far. Love Edie and David
