Bud passed away peacefully at home, he had been lost since Gail's, his loving wife of 57 years, passing in March. Born in Vancouver he graduated from John Oliver High in 1952. He was an avid fisherman and spent many days fishing with his good friend Bill Halford. Bud was a fine woodworker and took pride building boat model replicas for naval architects Cove, Hatfield & Co.
Bud worked for the District of North Vancouver for several years prior to purchasing Gibsons Lanes in 1974. Bud and Gail operated the lanes for 30 years and particularly enjoyed the many wonderful friendships they made. Bud and Gail retired to Cawston, BC returning to Gibsons in 2015 to be closer to family.
Bud is lovingly remembered by his sons Jeff and Gordon, daughter Arlene and son-in-law David Longman, grandsons Cameron and Quinn, daughter-in-law Zeta Gaudet and sister Isabel Ashleigh.
