It is with great sadness that we mourn the sudden and unexpected passing of Harold.

Harold was the loving partner of Linda (Doerksen),father of Wendy, Jillian and Allison Nosek (Sam) and grandfather of Cole Wray, Owen and Jacob Beerling, and Tierney and Jovie Nosek. He also leaves behind his siblings, Richard Wray (Trish), Mary Chester Webster (Christopher) and Christine Moore (Brian) and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Harold was born in Garden Bay to a Sunshine Coast pioneering family. Then, as a child, the family moved to Gibsons where he later started his own family and lived until his passing.

When Harold met the love of his life, Linda, the big adventures began! He became an avid world traveller going to the far ends of the earth (Africa, Antarctica, Easter Island, Costa Rica, the Amazon and Peru to name a few). He loved his new extended family, and through them he formed bonds that will last forever.

He adored his grandchildren and always had time to play, teach them new things about the world and to give them a sense of belonging. He encouraged them to always believe that anything was possible!

Harold was extremely kind and thoughtful and so well respected throughout the whole community. Unique and witty does not begin to describe his enormous sense of humour. He could take the simplest things and make you laugh. Harold was creative, and especially talented mechanically and structurally. A was really Mister fix-it! From working on cars to building airplanes and boats to house renovation, nothing was impossible.

Harold was a passionate aviator. He obtained his recreational and commercial pilot's licenses as well as built and flew his own WW I replica plane. He continued to be an active member of the RAAC and the Elphinstone Aero Club. The RAAC became his home away from home after he retired and he enjoyed his time having coffee with the boys and solving the world's problems.

Harold was an incredible teacher. No classroom or books, just his limitless curiosity and ingenuity allowed him to share his knowledge and passion with others, especially his grandchildren!

His passion for life and learning was infinite. Through his loving family and supportive community he had a very rich life.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Sunshine Coast Golf and Country Club at 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 3, 2018.
