MARION (Grayson) DEARN

Marion passed away peacefully. She was born in Sheffield, England, where she met the love of her life, John, before immigrating to Canada. Settling in Edmonton, then in Richmond, she was known as the voice of the Hudson Bay for over two decades. Retiring to Halfmoon Bay, she enjoyed knitting, gardening, walks and the relaxed lifestyle of the Sunshine Coast. Mom was strong, proud and spirited. Always spoke her mind. Having known John for 70 years, Marion cared for her husband until his passing 5.5 years ago. Missed by her daughter, Julie, son-in-law, Sam, her grandchildren and their loved ones, Noah, Natasha, Wyn, Lindsay, Emilee, Robyn, Kane, and her family in England. She loved her grandchildren so much. England was always in her heart. A warm thank you to the caring people at Shorncliffe, Christiansen Village, Sunrise of Lynn Valley, Sechelt Hospital and Dr. Gibbons who made my Mom comfortable and looked after her needs over the past three years. In lieu of flowers, donations on behalf of Marion can be made to the Alzheimer's Society of BC. A celebration will be at a later date.
