Robert King Obituary

Robert (Bob) Charles King, passed away at home on February 2, 2018, at the age of 75.

Born to Charlie and Nellie (Peggy) King in Trail, B.C. on February 27, 1942, Bob was raised in the Castlegar area with his two sisters, Jen and Midge. Here as a young man Bob began his trade as instrument mechanic, which took him to Quesnel in 1972. Through his working years Bob worked in the pulp and paper industry and later launched and ran a successful business (King's Electronics) in Quesnel, spanning some 20 plus years.

Everyone fortunate to know Bob can appreciate that one of Bob's biggest passion was fishing. Recreating for many years with his boat, friends, and family on the inlets of the Bella Coola area, it was this desire that brought him and his wife to retire in the Pender Harbour area in 2003. Here Bob continued to enjoy his passion on the water with his boat, the "C" King.

Bob is survived by his wife of 32 years, Dorothy (Dot), daughters Sherri and Barb, step son and daughter Carl and Donna, sisters Jen and Midge, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Bob's life will be forthcoming.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Bob can be sent to the Pender Harbour & District Health Centre Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
