Robert leslie McKee

November 22, 1944 - November 1, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Leslie McKee after a long battle with cancer. Robert is survived by his wife Patty and his children Jessica and Megan, his brothers Tom and Mark, and sisters Barbara Jo and Linda.  Robert was born in Oklahoma, before moving to and becoming a true California boy, spending his days racing cars alongside his brother Tom. Moving to Canada in the 1970’s, Rob began work in a flower shop, which it is key to note as not a bouquet went unattended within his vicinity since the day he graced the North. His passion for sports led him to lifelong friendships as a coach of the BC Women’s Ringette team, and his love of tennis ultimately led him to his wife Patty. In the latter years of his life, Rob was a dedicated and active member of RCM-SAR, and (after what was assumed to be a midlife crisis) was a member of a rag tag motorcycling crew leading him to enough adventures to fill the life of any man. Above all, Robert loved his family more than anything, and wanted it to be known that he could not be more proud of his children, the things they are doing, and who they have become.
