It is with deepest sadness that we announce the sudden, unexpected passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather.
Barry met his best friend and soulmate in 1974. We built our life dream to retire on the Coast. Although it was cut short, he made the most of it, especially sitting on the deck with a glass of wine looking at the water thinking that a loss of some trees would sure give him a better view (ha!).
Barry was a fisherman at heart in earlier years and enjoyed his years volunteering at the hatchery. He had a passion for cutting firewood for the winter which made him very happy because it was free.
He had a love for people, speaking his views on life and throwing in a lot of humour.
His biggest pride and accomplishment was his family and although he wasn't rich in material things, he was rich in love, happiness and life.
Barry is survived by his wife Debbie, son Ryan, daughter Kelly and his grandchildren Isaiah, Mia and Tyler.
There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, July 14, from 2:30pm - 5pm at Cooper's Green in Halfmoon Bay.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Sechelt Hospital Foundation.
Miss you, love you always.
