She graced us with her gentle demeanour and warm hospitality for what many of us consider to be a fraction of time necessary, as her presence was enjoyed tremendously by her loved ones. But now heaven is lucky enough to call her their own. Cheri Anne Kingsland passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 9th leaving behind her beloved family members and numerous adoring friends. Cheri was a lover of music, arts/crafts, gardening and nostalgia. She had a passion about her lineage and spent countless hours tracing the Kingsland ancestry. Cheri was also deeply passionate about supporting local charities, community events such as theatre and golf tournaments. However, without a doubt, her biggest passion of all would be her undying love for animals. Whether she was making a "cozy cottage" for your fur baby while you were on vacation or spending time with friends over tea and goodies, she always made everyone feel welcome and at home. Her quick wit and vibrant personality forever filled the room with a "pink aura" which will be dearly missed by everyone.
Cheri is survived by her sister-in-law, Sandy Kingsland of Airdrie, AB; her nephew Jason (Dagny) and their children Ayla and Ryden Kingsland; her niece Erin Kingsland (Michael Lawson) of Calgary, AB.; and several cousins of Manitoba and Alberta.
Cheri was predeceased by several family members; her parents, Reginald and Florence Kingsland; Uncle Ray and Aunt Muriel Thagard; nephew, Shawn Kingsland; brother, Robin Kingsland; and the love of her life, forever and ever, Gary Falk.
A Sunshine Coast celebration of life will be held at the Sechelt Seniors Activity Centre on Sunday, September 9th at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the SPCA.
