DONALD MALCOLM ORCHARD

DEC 10/1934 – MAY 23/2018 Passed away at Shorncliffe Care Home in Sechelt on May 23rd. Don is survived by his dear friend Sharon Halford, his children Andrew {Kim} and Sandy {Jason}. Grandchildren Sarah, Michael, Shasta {David}, Lyta, Zachary, Noah, as well as 9 Great Grandchildren. Don is also survived by his sister Heather {Ted} and his brother Charles {Nancy}. Born in Saint John, N.B., Don moved to British Columbia in 1981. Long time member of the Power Squadron. He loved being above, and as a former certified scuba diver, below the water. An active member in the community, he volunteered his time and many talents to help others. Many thanks for all the staff at Shorncliffe for their care and compassion. As special thanks to the Pender Harbour nurses and care providers for their considerable efforts that allowed Don to remain in his home as long as he did. In lieu of flowers, donations to Pender Harbour Health Centre, Box 308 Madeira Park V0N 2H1 would be appreciated.
