Deanna was born in Grande Prairie, Alberta to Deane and Marjorie Toews, the eldest of four children. Through her youth and teen years the family had many close friends in Grande Prairie and surrounding area.
In 1980, while working at Menzies Printers, she met the love of her life, Ross. Their two children, Danielle and Devan, were raised in a loving home on a farm in Beaverlodge, where Deanna worked in the Beaverlodge Hospital and All Peace Realty.
In 2001, Deanna and her family moved to the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia where she continued her career in the medical field. Upon her retirement, she pursued self employment in the form of graphic arts and sign making.
Her true passions in life were family, friends, horses and dogs. She expressed her creativity through watercolour, scrapbooking, stained glass, quilting and sewing.
What we will all remember her for is how she connected to us individually, in a bond that was instantaneous, sincere and enduring. Whether in school, at work, on horseback or sitting around a campfire, she brought love and laughter to everyone she met.
She will be forever remembered and greatly missed by her loving husband, children and grandchildren, her surviving sister and brother, many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends as close as family.
