Frances Anne MacDougall, was born alongside her twin sister Kirsten to Gwladys and Arne Lien on May 24th, 1938 in Vancouver, BC. Frances grew up roaming the forests and beaches around Port Mellon with her sister (deceased) and her best friend Maureen who continued to be by her side until her final days. Married to Gordon MacDougall in Gibsons BC on December 23rd, 1961. Gordon joined the angels just a year and one month prior to Francie’s own journey to heaven. Their love was indescribably strong; a passion and love so fierce you could feel it when in its presence. Francie will forever be remembered for her abundance of creative abilities which included baking (renown pie maker!), gardening, painting, and making clothing, blankets and accessories from scratch for her friends and family. Her love for birds, butterflies, and cats was a defining part of her persona. She was a kind, gentle, genuine and creative soul who left a lasting impact on all those close to her and she kept her family safe from bears, hooligans and bad drivers! She passed comfortably and peacefully in the afternoon of December 18th, 2018, in her room at Christenson Village with loved ones at her side. Francie is survived by her 3 Children Rick, Lisa, and Bruce MacDougall; Daughter’s-in-Law Pinky MacDougall and Alison Charabin; Grandchildren Melissa, Janice, Brandyn, Kasimir, and Henry.
