Glen R Mardon

September 28, 1925 ~ June 3, 2017 (age 91)
Glen passed away suddenly in the morning. Father of Brent (Tracey) Mardon and Gail (Brad) Baker, grandfather of Aidan, Glen, Andrew and Eric, great-grandfather of Cade and Jett. Glen was born in Winnipeg, grew up in Vancouver, and spent childhood summers in Crystal Beach. He attended Kerrisdale Elementary, Point Grey and Magee High schools in Vancouver. Glen was active in the Boy Scouts of Canada for most of his life, from a boy member to scoutmaster to camp committee for Camp Byng. Glen served in World War II as a naval gunner. Post war, he entered his father's insurance business; which eventually became Mardon Insurance. He enjoyed many summers and happy years of retirement at Hopkins Landing. A Celebration of Life will be held at Gibsons Legion, 747 Gibsons Way, Gibsons, BC on Saturday, June 24 at 1:00pm. Cremation has taken place in accordance with his wishes. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Boy Scouts of Canada.
