Harry E. Morris-Reade

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend on July 8, 2018, with his loving family at his side.

 

He was predeceased by his father Leonard, mother Pearl and sister Tara.

 

He leaves to mourn his wife of 62 years, Barbara, daughter Patricia (Steve) Pelton, son Michael (Monica) Morris-Reade, six grandchildren Colin (Heather) Pelton, Ryan (Zimone) Pelton, Carolyn (Myles) Genovese, Brendan, Sean and Shannon Morris-Reade, three great-grandchildren Kayden, Hailey and Bowen Pelton, sister Colleen, and her family.

 

Harry moved to the Sunshine Coast in 1975.  He worked for the S.C.R.D. as Chief Building Inspector until his retirement in 1990.

He enjoyed many years of retirement, loved the home he built in Roberts Creek, was an ardent fisherman and had many memorable trips.

 

He will be sorely missed by his family, friends and all who were touched by his smile.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Sunshine Coast Golf and Country Club on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at 1:30 p.m.

 

A special thank you to Dr. Daren Spithoff, Sechelt Hospital and Shorncliffe Care Home for their care of Harry, also to the Memory Club for their unconditional love and support.

 

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated.
