Jim left us suddenly in his 58th year after a short battle with cancer. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 23 years, Melody (nee Bithell), his daughters Melody (Spike), Crystal (Gary), Savannah (Rob), Danielle (Arthur), Donna (Nate) and Tamara (Lee), his grandchildren Brittany, Ardeya, Tasia, Landon, Jayde,

Syrena and Tiana, his sister Brenda (Steve), nieces Christina, Catherine and many more family and friends.

Jim retired as a Master Corporal after serving 20 years in the Canadian Forces as a Mobile Support Equipment Operator (MSE OP) in Calgary, Lowther, Germany, Chilliwack and Borden before continuing his life long passion of long haul trucking. He spent the next 10 years driving for Warren Gibson Transport in Alliston, Ontario before moving on to
drive for Challenger Motorfreight in Ontario and BC. After a move to Gibsons in 2004, Jim spent the next seven years delivering locally on the Sunshine Coast before returning to long haul with Bison Transport.

When not on the road, Jim loved to spend his time collecting seashells and swimming with his granddaughters, working on his vehicles, walking the dogs, watching TV and, of course, drinking coffee!

One of the many highlights of his life was a trip to Phoenix Motor Speedway with his friend Mark. A trip he had hoped to repeat in the future.

As per his request there will be no service.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Gibsons Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre would be appreciated.
