Juerg Ingold Obituary

Juerg was born in Liechtenstein, but grew up in Switzerland He became a chef and moved to Canada when he was 20. Juerg worked in Vancouver for many years at various hotels and restaurants and it was there he met his wife, Bonnie and where they had their first child, Tommy. They moved to the Sunshine Coast in 1986 and soon welcomed their daughter Helen. Juerg suffered with a bad heart from childhood and he eventually had to stop working. Instead he worked at home, raising his two children with loving care. They spent their childhood exploring the beaches and forests of the Coast. After numerous heart surgeries Juerg had a successful heart transplant on Feb. 5, 2008. Unfortunately, he was seldom without chronic pain for the last ten years. Juerg and his family would like to thank Dr Reznick and the staff at Upstream Family Medicine and Ken at the Medicine Shoppe for all their support. He was especially grateful to St Paul's Hospital, where he had been treated since 1976. Juerg will be lovingly remembered by Bonnie, Helen and Tommy, his sister Lilo, brother Max and Suzanne, his nephew Dennis and family, cousins in Switzerland and his family and friends in Vancouver, especially Adrian. Juerg loved the Coast and the good friends and many acquaintances he made here over the years. In lieu of flowers, a donation could be made in Juerg's memory to the St Paul's Hospital Foundation. A celebration of Juerg's life will take place at the Eric Cardinal Hall in Shirley Massey Park on Mar 10th from 2:00-4:00
