Liam Francis McKevitt

Our beloved husband, dad and papa, passed away very peacefully in his wife's arms early on March 31, 2018 in Gibsons. He was our hero and will be remembered for his sharp wit and compassion, always the consummate gentleman. Liam loved to work with his hands, a talented builder and artist, he worked tirelessly to support his family which meant everything to him. Born in Ireland in 1934, he dreamed of immigrating to America, which he and his wife boldly did in 1969 with their young family. Living initially in North Vancouver, then Southern California for a time and finally settling back in British Columbia in 1975. Liam is survived by his loving wife Bernadette, a hero in her own right, daughter Sonya and sons Damian and Declan. He has left a lasting legacy in his extended family and we will love him forever.

A 'celebration of life' mass will be held at St Mary’s Catholic church in Gibsons on April 21st at 1pm with a reception to follow. We would like to sincerely thank the staff at the Christenson Village for their devotion and thoughtful care of our papa.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Liam's name to the Alzheimer's Society.
