Passed peacefully on June 12, 2018. Phyllis was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on December 13, 1918 and moved to Dewdney, BC at a very young age where she attended school and worked in her family store.
Phyllis married Lester Way from Ruskin, BC on June 12, 1941; they had one daughter, Myrna Leslie Harrison.
Phyllis is predeceased by her husband Lester. She leaves behind her daughter Myrna, son-in-law Frank, grandchildren September Dixon her husband Bob, Steven Edwardson and wife Lisa, Douglas Edwardson, Kristina Knudsen and Tiffany Traverse, ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Phyllis was a pioneer in the logging industry, dedicated wife, mother, artist and avid golfer.
The family thanks the amazing staff at Christenson Village for their caring touch and professionalism while assisting our family and Phyllis on her journey.
Verline, the family thanks you for all you have done to assist Phyllis in her life at Christenson Village, you are a very special person.
Rest in peace Nana. You have always been the family compass, we will miss you.
There will be an open house in celebration of Phyllis's life on Saturday, June 23, from 1pm to 4pm at the residence of Myrna and Frank's.
