Ruth Olive Blake (nee Bentall) was born June 18, 1961 to Bob and Misty Bentall of West Vancouver. She joined an older sister Laura (Nelson) and brother Rob. She departed this earth and her many loved ones much earlier than we expected or wanted due to a recurrence of cancer. She passed over the threshold of Heaven peacefully on May 28 with her family and fiancee surrounding her. Her five children are: Chris (fiancée Jocelyn, children Zane, Dominique and Logan), Vanessa (husband Will, children Kai and Poppy), Jon (wife Alpha, baby Paisley), Nicholas (wife Miranda, baby Azalea) and Carrie. These were lights in her life, loves of her heart. Family was one of her highest priorities and greatest joys. She was to marry her fiancee Carson Pue on June 23 at a joyous celebration of love, ministry and future. Instead we now gather to celebrate Ruth's life and to thank God for her quiet but powerful influence on so many. Her profound faith in Jesus will be a light and legacy going forward for us all. She will be greatly missed.
A celebration of her life was held June 1st at West Vancouver Baptist Church.
