Vera (Anderson) Vedde

Our beloved Wife and Mother, Vera Vedde nee Anderson passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at home on April 26, 2018 at the age of 77.

Vera was born March 25, 1941 in Vancouver, BC.  She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Helge Vedde, her sons Mark Steppell (Colleen), David Steppell (Karen), Jennifer Steppell (Granddaughter), Joe (Brother) and Margaret (Sister).

Vera was blessed with two stepchildren (Aksel Vedde) and (Titti Kjaerstad) as well as multiple step grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Vera had a passion for sewing and fashion, which lead her to open her own clothing consignment store after she retired.  Vera also loved keeping up to date on all the world happenings by watching news and subscribing to newspapers and magazines.

Vera will be sadly missed and always in our hearts.  Please join us in remembering Vera at a Memorial Service, Saturday May 5, 2018 at the Seaside Centre (5790 Teredo Street, Sechelt, BC)  Service will be from 1-3PM.

A wife, a mother, a grandma too

This is the legacy we have from you

You taught us love and how to fight

You gave us strength, you gave us might

A stronger person would be hard to find

And in your heart, you were always kind

You fought for us all in one way or another

Not just as a wife not just as a mother

For all of us you gave your best

Now the time has come for you to rest

So go in peace you’ve earned your sleep
