Anne Gregory
10/10/1927-19/04/2021
On April 19th Mum left us to join her beloved husband Charles and son Jonathan. She was able to die at home as she had wished. She spent her last days overlooking the view she so loved. The ravens flying by, no doubt looking to see if she had put any treats out for them, the hummingbirds active and the sunshine reflecting off the ocean.
Mum lived a full and adventurous life. She never stopped learning, creating, exploring and questioning. She spoke her mind, shared her opinions (whether appropriate or not) but also listened and heard others. Mum was steadfast in her loyalty to those she cared about but could also be impatient with people she viewed as frivolous. Canada was her home for more than 60 years but Mum never lost her roots to the U.K. , always keen for fish and chips and a pint at her favourite spot, The Lighthouse Pub.
Immense gratitude to my husband and to Sharon, for the many years you both went above and beyond. A shout out to the amazing homecare nurses: Kathleen W., Lisa, Leslie, Kathleen C. and to Dr. S. Resnick for their incredible support and compassion over these last few weeks.
Due to COVID-19 we are not able to acknowledge Mum with a celebration of life gathering at this time. In lieu, perhaps we could plant daisies, Mum’s favourite flower, in her memory.
