Avril Jean (Davidson) Maddern

Avril Jean Maddern February 13, 1939 - July 24, 2023

Avril passed away peacefully in her own home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Stockport, England. Avril married John Maddern and lived between, the UK and Qatar, before emigrating to Canada in 1973 and moving to Gibsons in 1974.

Avril worked at CIBC in Gibsons when it first opened in 1975, until she retired in 1992.

In retirement, Avril developed a passion for golf and was an active member in the ladies league at the Sechelt Golf course. She was an avid reader and a big supporter of her home football team, Manchester United.

Avril was predeceased by her husband, John in 1999.

She is survived by her daughter Dawn and son Gary. grandsons Jacob, Sam, and Fin.

Avril has asked that no memorial be held. Donations in her name can be made to the Sunshine Coast Hospice Society.

Avril will be deeply missed, her warm smile and kind heart will forever be remembered.
