Bev left us peacefully at her home in Gibsons, BC on March 1, 2026, at the age of 70.
Bev was born on July 23, 1955, in Barrie, Ontario, where she spent her early years before eventually making her home on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia. She worked as a Special Education Teacher Assistant, a role that reflected her patient nature and caring heart.
Bev will be lovingly remembered by her sons Brett (Marissa) and Chad, and by her cherished grandchildren Parker, Brynn and Bailey, who brought her endless pride and joy. She is also remembered by her former husband Murray, and her brothers and sisters Barbara, Bill (Valerie), Bernice (Raymond), Barry (Michelle) and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She is now reunited with her sister Blanche and her parents Nora and Alexander.
Bev enjoyed the quiet comforts of home and the simple pleasures of life, including line dancing, knitting, reading. She was also an avid family historian and loved researching her family’s history.
Above all, she was passionate about her grandchildren and treasured the time she spent with them.
She will be remembered for her kindness, gentle spirit, and the love she shared with her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 20th at 1:00 pm at the Sunshine Coast Botanical Garden.
Family and friends are warmly invited to attend.
