It is with profound sadness, that we announce the passing of Bonnie, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Bonnie left this world peacefully at the age of 92 in Gibsons, BC, on July 1, 2025 surrounded by love and family.
(Bonnie) Marie Blandine Leone Davies was born in Ste. Rose du Lac, Manitoba on January 8, 1933. In 1941 her Mom, Dad and her 5 siblings moved to Windsor Ontario. Bonnie once worked at the Elmwood Casino as the head maître d. This club show cased acts by the likes of Sammy Davis Jr., Sonny & Cher and Loretta Lynn. It was on a train trip with her Mom that Bonnie met Ed Davies who was traveling with his Dad. After one year of long distance dating the two married on July 15, 1977 in Windsor, then moved to Gibsons BC with her son David.
In Gibsons she worked many years as a bartender at the Gibsons Legion 109 and was a long time member. Bonnie had many hobbies that she had dove into full heartily, like Square dancing, flower arrangements and ceramics. She also enjoyed canning fresh vegetables we Ed grown in Ed’s garden. Bonnie had joined many volunteer clubs like Harmony Hall, Ladies auxiliary and Elves club volunteering to cook and serve at many of their functions.
Bonnie was predeceased by her brothers David Jeannotte (1968) and George Jeannotte (2016). She is survived by her husband Ed of 48 years, sisters Laure Holland (Glenn), and Paula Marie Avadesian (Charles deceased 2025) her daughter Loreen Pueschel, son David Davies (Alyson), step daughters Stacy Millin (Monty) and Melanie Thrower (Murray). She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews as well as extended family and friends.
Her legacy continues through her grandchildren Stevie and Joe Pueschel, and Marc and Dawson Davies, Dalton, Josh and Danae Thrower, and great grandchildren Lucas, Morgan and Kacie Pueschel. She also leaves behind her beloved and faithful dog Marshmallow.
Bonnie’s memory lives on in every heart she touched and we now hold her memory in our hearts and send her on your final journey.
