Earl Roy Chamberlain

March 22, 1931 – Feb 13, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Earl Roy Chamberlain. Earl passed away peacefully in Sechelt in the presence of his loving wife Adeline of 32 years. He is survived by his son James Chamberlain of Prescott ON; step-children Tony Petula (Sheri), Dennis Petula, Greg Petula, Bonnie Pynsent, Darren Petula (Paula), Loriann Satow, as well as his grandchildren, great grandchildren, many friends and relatives. Pre-deceased by his parents Jesse and Clare, two sons Clayton and Neil, brother Oscar and sisters Thelma and Iris.

At 9 years of age, Earl moved with his parents from Saskatchewan to BC where he completed his schooling in Vancouver. He was active in sports and excelled in his schoolwork. Earl worked many jobs including logging up Sechelt Inlet ion the 50s to help support himself in his final years of schooling. He later left BC and went to Alberta where he found steady employment working for the City of Calgary, later transferring to the City of Edmonton. He worked hard doing everything to work his way up the ladder eventually going into management; retiring after 31 years back to BC.

His hobbies and passions include Crib, Shuffleboard, fishing and all sports – loving his hockey! Earl also loved to travel with his favourite spot being Indio, USA. He volunteered his time being involved with activities in the park as well as Shuffleboard Organizer and President. Earl had the true sense of what life was all about, his attitude was “You only have one life, lets do it right and enjoy it.” He was fair and respected by all who crossed his path. A great communicator, his memory was amazing, remembering everyone and everything right up until his passing. He will be greatly missed.
