Edward (Ted) Horne passed away on December 22, 2022, at the age of 80. He grew up in Point Grey and graduated from Lord Byng Secondary School. After many years of plumbing sales with Andrew Sheret, Galt Brass, and Waltec, he tried his hand in the hospitality business, and purchased the Quesnel Hotel/Bar. After a few years of late nights and bar fights, he decided the plumbing business was more his forte. He sold the hotel, and in 1979 started Pro-West Sales, a successful plumbing agency. He retired in 2007 and moved to the Sunshine Coast. He traveled to many far away places with his wife Lynda, and enjoyed visiting Jamaica where his family roots are. His last trip to Jamaica was to spread his mom's ashes on family property.
Ted is predeceased by his sister, Bonnie Fournier. He is survived by his wife Lynda, three children Nancy, Shannon, Michael, and stepdaughters Laura and Julie. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. His family remembers him for his incredible sense of humor, generosity, and strong work ethic.
No service by request. The family is thankful for the excellent care he received from his family doctor, Dr. Mundy, and Sechelt Hospital.
