Edward Alton Sandy

The family of Edward A Sandy of Gibsons are saddened to announce his passing Wednesday November 2, 2022 at the age of 96.

Predeceased by his wife Audrey in May 2021. They were married for 68 years.

Remembered by his three children Sharon, Neil (Christina), Carolyn (George) and his two grandchildren Christopher and Liann.

Dad was born in Handel Saskatchewan, the family moved to Vancouver when he was 16 years old. He enlisted in the army and was in training when the war ended. He was a carpenter by trade always building and fixing things.  He had many jobs over the years, he worked for the School District 46 as a maintenance man, at Howe Sound Pulp and Paper, Childrens Hospital in Vancouver just to name a few.  He volunteered for many years at the Royal Canadian Legion in Gibsons, he was awarded  a lifetime membership.

The family would like to thank Dr McCall and the caregivers at Christenson Village for the care our father received in the last 9 months of his life.

Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
