Evelyn Giesbrecht Gertrude

Our beloved Evelyn passed away quietly on September 15 at Sechelt Hospital.
She will be dearly missed by all that knew her. She is survived by children; Lyn and Marie, John and Victor. She also leaves behind two grandchildren; Cameron and Belinda. Her siblings; Alvera, Joyce, and John. She was predeceased by her husband Hank in 1981.
Evelyn was born in Rabbit Lake, Saskatchewan, and moved to the Sunshine Coast with her family in 1967.
She was well known for her kind, caring nature, and unique sense of humour. She always had a ready smile for everyone, and an amusing story. She was a talented cook, and often had guests over. She was a devoted member of our community by volunteering with the Gibsons Legion Ladies Auxiliary for many years. She touched the life of so many people with her vivacious spirit and will be sorely missed by all.

A celebration of life will be held at the Gibsons Legion on Saturday, October 27th from 11am-2pm.
