Evelyn MacKay Obituary

It is with a sad heart that we announce the sudden passing of Evelyn in her 83rd year. Pre-deceased by her husband, Don and her sister Rosemary, she leaves behind brothers Eric Olsen (Doris), Leonard Olsen (Chris) and Paul Olsen (Deborah), her children Louise Dau (Rick), Janet Bennie (Rob), Don MacKay (Teri) and Brian MacKay, her 8 grandchildren and her 9 great grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Raised in Vancouver, she was the first triplet born in St. Pauls Hospital. Don and Ev raised their family in Gibsons before moving to Langley where she worked as an extended care nurse at Langley Lodge. She fulfilled her dream of returning to Gibsons in 2009 and reconnecting with her numerous friends here. She will be remembered for her warm smile and sparkling personality. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. Please raise a glass of Guinness in her memory.
