George Clinton Heller

The world is now a little darker, and there will be less laughter now that George is gone.

George died December 30th in Victoria BC after a valiant battle with cancer that was fought with grace and all his strength. He was born in Victoria, grew up there, but lived all over BC during his lifetime. He worked in many different mills honing his skills. Up north he was an excellent kiln operator drying lumber. Here on the Sunshine Coast he worked at Howe Sound and was known for his legendary crane operating skills before retiring.

George was an amazing story teller, with an amazing sense of humour. You'd laugh so hard you'd cry! He was an avid fisherman and won many derbies over the years. There are so many photos him with fish! Mostly he just loved us, and protected us and that's really the most important thing I can say about George. He was a great man with a huge heart, and would give you the shirt off his back, literally.

He wanted us to get together and tell stories, and laugh, and enjoy some good food. We will do this for him as soon as Covid allows.
