James (Jim) "Jimbo" Davison Obituary

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Jim Davison, on March 27, 2024.  Jim was predeceased by his Father Doug , Mother Kit Davison and Brother Tommy. Jim left behind his loving Wife Mary Jane, his Daughter Patricia Davison Woolcock and Granddaughter Amara.

Jim was born in Toronto, Ontario and moved at a young age to Vancouver, British Columbia.  Jim grew up in North Vancouver and attended Handsworth Secondary School, where he excelled at many sports. He won Athlete of the Year in 1973.  His passion for sports was evident with his many awards for Basketball, Hockey, Football and Bowling. He continued to excel at UBC in the Physical Education Program of Studies.  Outside of school, he played Golf at a high level, winning the Junior Golf Championship.

Jim worked in Sales for many years. He really enjoyed meeting people and made many friends over his lifetime.  If there was something you wanted to buy and he did not have it, he would make an extra trip to find it.

Jim was a fun, loving guy who kept everyone entertained with his great sense of humor and storytelling. Jim had a passion for Music. He enjoyed Singing and playing the Piano.  Jim was a man with a generous heart. It gave him great pleasure to surprise his friends and family with gifts.

Another passion of Jim’s was travel. He enjoyed going to Washington, USA and spending time at the Golf Course. He loved to do Road Trips to the Oregon Coast with his wife and Beloved Dogs. He also did many travel trips and Cruises to Alaska and Europe.

Jim will be greatly missed by all.

The Davison Family would like to Thank the amazing Hospice Society for all the compassion and care they gave to Jim.

A Celebration Of Life will take place on the Sunshine Coast, B.C. on Saturday, May 4th, 2024.
