Jenny Eileen Harder | July 22, 1945 – June 12, 2021 (75)
Mumsy passed away peacefully in Gibsons, British Columbia with her family at her side. Predeceased was the love of her life, James. She will be remembered lovingly by her daughters, Niki, Dominique, Ashley, and their families, as well as many long-time friends. Her grandchildren Jessica, Lauren, Amadeo, Beaux, and Marchesa brought much joy to their Nanny and they will hold onto many sweet memories they shared with her. She even got to meet and hold her great-grandchild, Brock.
There was never any doubt of just how important her family was to her and the love she poured out on them and others around her. She was one special lady who always put others ahead of herself. A loving, encouraging mother and Nanny, and a faithful friend who laughed and cried with those close to her heart. Those who knew her will remember the cheeky, funny, loving person she was.
A celebration of life for Mum is planned in August and a beachside bench will be installed in memory of Jenny & James Harder.
The “Sally Ann” as Mum would say, was a blessing to her many years ago during a time of need. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to Sunshine Coast Salvation Army | https://sunshinecoastsa.ca/make-a-donation/
When Tomorrow Starts Without Me
When tomorrow starts without me,
And I’m not there to see,
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
All filled with tears for me;
I wish so much you wouldn’t cry
The way you did today,
While thinking of the many things,
We didn’t get to say.
I know how much you love me,
As much as I love you,
And each time that you think of me,
I know you’ll miss me too.
But when tomorrow starts without me,
Please try to understand,
That Jesus came and called my name,
And took me by the hand.
He said my place was ready,
in Heaven far above,
And that I’d have to leave behind,
All those I dearly love.
When tomorrow starts without me,
Don’t think we’re far apart…
For every time you think of me,
I’m right here in your heart.
