Jerome Charles Rolfe

Jerome was a Dad…. A Grampy…. A Son…. An Uncle… a Nephew…. A workmate and a good friend to a lot of people. On June 19th,, 2018, a sunny afternoon near his home town of Gibsons, Jerome died very suddenly. He was 55.

Jerome is survived by his daughter Rischelle (James) and 5 grandchildren, his daughter Breanne and son Jordan ( Kara ). Two grandsons who were the lights of his life Jaxon and Tyson.  Mother Shirley, sister Debbie (Derek), brother Don (Ann-Marie) and life long friend Fay.

Jerome was a great guy. He loved his children and grandsons more than anything, except maybe for fishing. He would keep you on the edge of your seat telling the story of the big one he landed on his work fishing charter. Some of his greatest times were spent with his brother Donnie in their boat on Sakinaw Lake fishing and shooting the sh*t.

He was an epic story teller! His passions included AC/DC, drawing, cooking, astrology, model building, nature, video games and the Canucks. On Father’s Day this year, he was thrilled to get tickets for two of his favorite bands Def Leppard and Journey. He loved listening to music on his precious discman and was often seen fist pumping to the beat giving his rock salute “YEAH”.

Jerome was also gentle and full of love. He would often get choked up talking about things dear to his heart. Whether it was about an aging rock band or a sad story he heard on the news, his compassion for people was very heartfelt. He was generous and would always give back when he could.

He was so proud of Breanne and Jordan. Although there were years when he wasn’t so close, his love for his children never waned. They are his greatest accomplishment.

We will miss Jerome. He always had a story to tell, a weather report to go on and on about and a random piece of information to share that would leave you going Hmmm??? Be peaceful on the next leg of your journey. We love you.
