Lance "Lanny" Lawson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lance “Lanny” Lawson on February 19, 2025, at Silver Stone Care Home. Born on January 9, 1942, Lanny was a hardworking man with a deep love for the outdoors. He spent his life as a logger, surrounded by the forests he knew so well, and found joy in fishing and prawn fishing whenever he had the chance.

Lanny was predeceased by his beloved wife, Erna, and leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his children, Murray (Jackie) and Tanya (Rick), as well as four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. His love for his family and his time spent on the water will be remembered by all who knew him.

A celebration of Lanny’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor his memory by spending time outdoors, casting a line, and enjoying the simple beauty of nature—just as he always did.

He will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, Dad.
