It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of Lorraine Jones at Sechelt Hospital.
Lorraine leaves behind her daughter Karen (Ian) son Brent (Renee) granddaughters Michelle (Nolan) Tracy and Jennifer. Lorraine was fortunate to have three great grandchildren, twins Madison and Olivia and Jaxon who arrived days before her passing. She will also be missed by her family from Winnipeg, her sisters Doreen, Audrey and Arlene, brothers Chuck and Ken, and many nieces and nephews, and of course her awesome friends.
Lorraine moved to the Sunshine Coast in 1998 to be near family after her beloved husband Ron Jones passed away.
She was very active in the community prior to her illness by volunteering at the Legion, and was always willing to do baking and fundraising for numerous clubs and events. However her heart was with the Gibsons Wildlife Rehabilitation Center where she spent over 20 years donating her time and energy.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Sechelt Hospital for their amazing care and kindness.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Gibsons Wildlife Rehab Center would be greatly appreciated.
A celebration of life will be held at the Gibsons Senior Society at Harmony Hall on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 2pm.
