Margarita (Faerman) Shvartsman

December 18, 1949 — August 19, 2022  (age 72)

It is with great sadness in our hearts; We announce the passing of a fiercely independent woman, wife, mother and grandmother, Margarita Shvartsman on August 19, 2022.

Margarita was a passionate, generous, caring person with a great love of animals, family, children & friends.  Margarita always had a special place in her heart for her extended family (spread out all over the world), and close friends.

Margarita is survived by her husband of 53 years; Leonid, sons Dimitri (Kelly) and Yevgeney (Valentyna) & brother Genady Faerman (Shella).

Born in Ukraine; Margarita emigrated to south-western Ontario from Ukraine in 1979 with her husband and two sons.  Margarita was an economist, who worked in accounting for Cluett Peabody and Hitachi, until moving to Halfmoon Bay, Sunshine Coast in 2003.

Margarita’s passion for animals lead her to Gibsons Pet Food & Supplies, which she proudly owned and operated for many years, until retirement in 2021.

Whomever had the pleasure of eating at Margarita’s table will truly miss where she showed her love the most.  No human or animal, ever left her kitchen hungry.

Margarita, you will be forever loved, missed and remembered by your family and friends near and far.  You will live on in our hearts!
