It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Richard Scholermann. Michael's birthname was Warren Richard Wolfe and he was a proud member of the Cree Nation. He was adopted by his parents in 1972.
He is survived by his mother Tamara De Grandmaison, his father Manfred Scholermann. His brother Rafael Scholerman and his sister Simone Lake and his sister Kecia Scholermann. His nephew Qwilleran Lake and his nephew Kyle Scholermann and his partner Rossel Pottenciano and their daughter Esther, Michael’s great niece.
Michael fought a long hard battle with heart failure. He was a working man and a hard one at that. He worked for Vancouver Coastal Health and Rain City. He was working with the indigenous shelters in the east end of Vancouver until he could no longer work.
He enjoyed reading, cooking, and spending time with family when he could, especially his nephew Kyle; they were very close. We will miss our son very much, as will his brother and sisters, nephews, and great niece.
He is with our Heavenly Father now and is free from pain. We love you so much Michael. You will be in our thoughts daily until we meet again.
