Dad passed away peacefully on December 26, 2020 at Totem Lodge, Sechelt B.C.
Milt was born in North Vancouver, B.C. 1930 and grew up in East Vancouver on the waterfront where he eventually became a fisherman. He married the talented Fran Reid in 1955 and shortly after they bought the "Flicka 1". Milt and Fran lived in North Vancouver where they started to raise their two daughters, Paulette (Polly) and Jennifer. They moved to Davis Bay in 1970 and later to Sechelt.
Dad loved the ocean, the West Coast and anything to do with boats. He was a fisherman, worked on the tugs and in a fish processing plant. After retiring, Milt and Fran acquired the "Milo" where they spent many wonderful times entertaining and cruising with family, friends, especially their church friends, up and down the Inlet. Milt was an avid reader, loved doing his crossword puzzles, going to church, watching the Canucks and being with family. He was a caring man and a dedicated husband, father and grandfather.
He is predeceased by his daughter, Jennifer (Ovens) Stewart, December 1995, son-in-law Rick Stewart, May 2016. Milt will be deeply missed by his wife of 65 years Fran, daughter Polly (Rick), grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, in-laws and cousins.
Many thanks to Totem Lodge for the wonderful care he received. There will be no service due to Covid.
