Pat passed away gently and gracefully in her 95th year at Christenson Village, Gibsons, BC.
Predeceased by her husband Cliff, son Dave and sister Dorothy Gandolfo. Lovingly remembered by her daughter Nancy (Chris) and daughter-in-law Wendy (Jack). Treasured Grandma to Andrew, Erin (Robert), Christopher (Angela) and Emily. 'GG' to 10 Great Grandchildren.
Born in Parksville, moving to the Kitsilano area at an early age, attending Lord Byng Elementary and Kitsilano High.
Pat and Cliff built their home in North Burnaby before choosing early retirement to move to their island paradise - Pat's place of peace, the place she loved to be - Gambier Island. Since 1955 it has been medicine for our souls, a place where she and Cliff were an integral part of the community. Pat being the one and only 'Blackberry Queen' - an honour that she held in such high esteem. Pat enjoyed gardening, preserving, knitting, baking, reading and always enjoyed a good G&T. Pat was past Chief Factor of the Old Hastings Mill Museum where she honed her gift of being a people person. Showing care and genuine interest in the comings and goings of friends and the world, but especially in her most important people - her family.
Pat was a kind person with a positive outlook, who truly enjoyed each day. She was a great gal whose presence will be so missed but will be carried on through our own acts of loving kindness and grace - a blessed way to live life.
Our loving heartfelt thanks to the angels at Christenson Village, Mom's home for the last 14 years. Bless you all. In memory of Pat, donations may be made in her honour to the Gambier Community Centre Society, 721 Andys Bay Road, Gambier Island, BC V0N 1V0 or Charity of your choice.
