Patrick Elden Robert Wheeler

Patrick “Rick” Elden Robert Wheeler, 73 of Gibsons, BC, fell asleep in death on Thursday March 31st surrounded by his Wife and Children and their spouses.  Rick was born in Montreal Quebec the eldest of 4 children.  His love of fun, jokes and his bright wide smile was a lifelong part of his warm personality from a young child.  Rick loved anything with a motor, wheels, or wings.  He could drive or fly anything and took great pride in them all.  Rick’s entrepreneur spirit brought him in contact with many who became long time friends.  Rick also deeply cherished his volunteer ministry as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He volunteered endless time and energy both supporting his brothers and sisters in the local congregation and sharing with his neighbors of the local community the Bible’s message of comfort and hope.  Rick was predeceased in death by two of his younger brothers, Daniel Wheeler and Mike Wheeler and his Parents Agnes and Patrick Wheeler and Stepmother Patricia Wheeler.  He is survived by his cherished Wife and best friend of 53 years Paula Wheeler (nee Drake), his three Children and their spouses,  Amber (Kevin) Downes, Dan (Julie) Wheeler, Michael (Alejandra) Wheeler, and his three Grandchildren Bronwyn, Kallum and Declan Downes.  He is also survived by his Brother John Wheeler and Stepsister Ronda Leigh both of Ontario.
