Pearl Margaret (Kovacs) Berze

n her 91st year, Pearl Margaret Berze (nee Kovacs) has peacefully gone home to her Lord on Sunday January 31, 2021 with loving family by her side. Mom has now joined our dad and her much beloved husband David Joseph Berze married for 66 years until his passing in 2018 and her cherished parents Lazlo and Clara Kovacs (Nagy) and her dear brother Lloyd. She was a devoted and loving mother to Sharon Harden (David), Daniel Berze and Caroline Taylor (John). A proud and caring grandma who cherished time spent with her grandchildren: Andrew, Nicole, Nicholas, Alexander and Oliviah. A beloved sister-in-law with Helen Dremak (nee Berze) of Brantford and a special life long friend with Lizzy Engelhardt of Simcoe. Mom is predeceased by her sister-in-law Gabrielle Berze, brothers-in-law William Berze, and John Dremak, as well as best friends Margaret Nemeth and Mary Hines. She was so very fond of her many nieces and nephews and goddaughter Gloria Jean and family. Her nephew Ronald Kovacs, in particular, generously attended to her worldly affairs for many years.

Although mom was born and raised in Brantford she moved to Etobicoke where she raised her family and developed many cherished and lasting friendships. The Three Amigos Helen, Grace and Pearl, Bridge Card Sharks Extraordinaire are now rejoined within the bonds of their friendship.

Our family feels most grateful and appreciative towards the staff at Christenson Village Seniors Home in Gibson B.C. where she received the utmost in kind and caring support during her final years.
