Phyllis "Jenny" Jennifer (Guyea) Bell

After fighting a long struggle with COPD, Jenny Bell passed away peacefully at Sechelt Hospital.

Born in Halifax, NS, Jenny was raised in Renfrew ONT before moving west, working in Healthcare and hospitality in Calgary AB, Sydney BC, and Vancouver BC before settling in Halfmoon bay in 1992. For her next 12 years, she worked at the Sechelt Hospital that she affectionately and proudly called: St Mary's by the Sea".
The absolute highest admiration and gratitude goes to Dr. Carla Paetkau for her unwavering attention, caring, affection, and compassion during Jenny's years-long battle. Our sincere thanks and appreciation also go to the paramedics and the staff of Jenny's "St Mary's by the Sea" for their kindness and help through all her tough times. Jenny was very proud of her hospital for good reason.

Jenny leaves behind her loving husband, Odd; her children James (Lisa), Jennifer, her grandchildren Cheyanne (Steven), Anthony, Jamie, Jonah, and Jada; and her brothers David and Joe (Sharon) as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins, and her countless friends that she loved all so dearly.

In lieu of flowers and cards, donations to the SPCA would acknowledge Jenny's love for all animals. We will postpone a celebration to a better day ahead.
