Roland Wayne Bennett

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Roland Wayne Bennett (Rollie) who left us on June 14, 2025 just short of His 82nd Birthday after a hard fought battle with cancer.  With His family close by, Rollie passed peacefully at Silverstone Care Centre in Sechelt.

Rollie spent his career working in the B.C. Forest Industry.  He is survived by his loving Wife Doreen (nee LeBlanc) of 42 years, Sons Sean and Kevin (Kala), Granddaughter Jordyn, Grandsons Oliver and Jack and Sister Joan (Dick) Foster.

Predeceased by his Parents Robert and Daisy Bennett, Sister Diana Richardson, Brother Robert and Granddaughter Tayler.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the medical professionals and caregivers including Gibsons Medical Clinic, Sechelt Hospital, BC Palliative Care and Silverstone Care Centre who all provided compassionate care throughout Rollie’s illness.

No service will be held at His request.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Vancouver Cancer Foundation will be greatly appreciated.
