Sandra Scheer – 19 April, 1946 – 1 December, 2025
With heavy hearts, we say a fond farewell and Godspeed to Sandy -- our Mum, sister, Auntie, and Gramma.
Born in Vancouver to Russ and Larry Marshall, Sandy attended the VGH School of Nursing, and later UBC, where she got her MBA and her graduate Nursing degree. At various times, she lived in Vancouver, Victoria, Vanderhoof, Abbotsford, Maple Ridge, Salmon Arm, and Enderby, returning to the Sunshine Coast for her final years.
Sandy leaves behind her sister Katie Janyk, children Andrea Enders and Adrien Scheer, grandchildren Lauren & Logan Enders, and Devin & Jordyn Scheer, nephew Kohlby Janyk, and niece Roën Labreque.
Sandy faced life with dogged determination and boundless energy. Always up for a new challenge, she wore many hats over the years – talented nurse & teacher, banker, realtor, businesswoman, farmer, horse breeder, amazing landscape designer, and mom. Her Ahhh line of liniments soothed away many an aching muscle and joint for animals and people alike.
Sandy took her greatest pleasure in fishing, whether casting from a stream-side rock, wading in a river, cruising Gower Pt. with Adrien, or rowing Armours Beach seeking that last perch for dinner. We know you’re out there, Sandy, rod in hand, dog beside you, cussing those pesky fish right now.
