Stephen Joseph McGarry

It is with great sadness that the family of Steve McGarry announce his sudden passing on December 21st at the age of 57.

Stephen was born March 24th, 1968 in Redondo Beach CA. He grew up in Montreal and has proudly lived on the Sunshine Coast for over 20 years.

Stephen was predeceased by his father Joseph McGarry.

He will lovingly be remembered by his mother, Jean Conley (Ralph), brother Kevin (Jen) and sister Jeanmarie Gilroy (Mike) and his nephews and nieces whom he adored, Sam, Owen, Sophia, Emma, Kelly and Charlotte. 

Steve’s heart was as big as his smile. Steve loved people, hockey, fishing, Nascar, music and dancing.

Steve will be honoured at the Coastal Tsunami hockey game on Friday, Jan. 2nd at 5pm.

His family will honour him privately on Saturday Jan. 3rd.

On Sunday Jan. 4th, the community Steve cherished so much is invited to attend a celebration of life at the 101 in Gibsons from 1pm to 5pm.

All are welcome.

As we move forward in grief and loss, may we all spread a smile and a love of people the way Steve did with all his heart.
