Terris (Terry) Kwasney
October 25, 1933 - December 27, 2023
Terry passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at the age of 90 years old.
Terry was born on a farm in Round Hills District in Wynyard Saskatchewan to Dymetro and Mary Kwasney
and was one of 12 children. He grew up working the farm with his siblings and met the love of his life at
age 21.
Terry and Hazel met at a dance at a hall on a farm and fell in love. They married after two years together
and were married for 65 years. They moved to the Sunshine Coast and here they raised their sons Jason
and Joel. Terry was a tree faller for many years before they started their own business together on the
Coast.
They built Suncoast Lumber & Milling a sawmill business in 1980 and worked together daily until
retirement.
Lovingly remembered by his sons Jason (Karen) & Joel (Michelle), and beloved grandchildren Brooke
(Tyrell), Cameron (Lori), Gayle (Tristan), Blake and Hailey.
Terry will be forever loved and missed by all who were blessed to have known him. Love you always!
Our hearts find peace knowing he has began the journey to go meet his beautiful wife Hazel and be
reunited once again.
Special thank you to Doctor Bryson for his dedicated care to Terry over the years. Would also like to send
a big thank you to the Staff at St Paul’s Hospital for their compassion that was shown to Terry and his
family.
The family asked that in lieu of flowers that donations can be made in his name to the Heart & Stroke
Foundation. At this time, a celebration has not been planned and we hope to have a joint celebration for
both Terry and Hazel in 2024.
