Born December 5th, 1941, Bill passed away with the same resolve and dignity with which he lived, in Sechelt Hospital on Oct 29th, 2022
He is predeceased by his parents Thomas and Ellen, and his brother Dave. Bill is survived by his loving wife Lorraine, son Tyler (his wife Danielle), granddaughter Halle, and niece Shannon.
Through his life’s work, Bill was able to make a meaningful contribution in the lives of others. After service in the Canadian Navy, Bill had a long career in the health care industry. Retiring in the community of Sechelt, which he loved, he was honored to serve as a director for the Sechelt Hospital Foundation. .
A nature lover, and accomplished musician, Bill loved to learn, engage, and spend time with friends and family.
Quick to smile and laugh, and possessing a wry sense of humor, Bill will fondly be remembered for his mastery in the deployment and timing of the “dad joke”, well before it was fashionable.
Bill lived his life quietly committed thanks to strong core values. Hard work, Integrity, humility, and kindness. An example appreciated and remembered by those that knew him, and felt by many who didn’t.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday, November 19th at 5665 Teredo St, Sechelt, BC V0N 3A0.
